We are looking for a chief operations officer (COO) to oversee and optimize our client's organizational operations, ensuring strategic alignment, efficiency, and excellence in execution to achieve the company's goals. The candidate must have strong leadership skills and the ability to approach business with a creative point of view. The COO will lead our client's team of high-performing professionals to be efficient, productive, and effective.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic operational plans needed to enhance company growth
- Manage daily operations and ensure efficiency and quality.
- Lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Performing employee reviews and developing corrective action plans if needed
- Cultivating and providing opportunities for rising talent within the organization
- Work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer on all matters related to the business
- Working with the executive team to set company performance goals
- Preparing and presenting reports to the Chief Executive Officer
- Oversee operational budgets and financial performance.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks.
- Promote cross-departmental collaboration and effective communication.
- Engage with key clients and stakeholders to build and maintain strong relationships.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of operational management experience in construction or related industries.
- Proven strategic planning, financial management, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in both English and French
- Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
- Understanding of advanced business planning and regulatory issues
- Solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics
- Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues
- Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
- Outstanding organizational abilities
- Flexibility. Frequent travels to sites involved
