Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tour specialist with extensive knowledge of inbound and outbound tourism. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in the travel and tourism industry and a proven track record of creating exceptional travel packages for local and international destinations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Travel Package Development:
- Develop unique safari experiences and themed travel options.
- Design and customize itineraries for inbound tourists exploring Tanzania’s iconic destinations.
- Create comprehensive outbound travel packages to popular international locations.
2. Sales and Marketing:
- Identify and target potential clients for both inbound and outbound travel services.Upsell and cross-sell travel packages and add-on services.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to promote travel packages via social media and other channels.
- Identify and target potential clients for both inbound and outbound travel services.
3. Client Relations and Management:
- Engage with clients to understand their travel preferences and provide tailored solutions.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to retain and grow client relationships.Maintain a client database and track inquiries to ensure timely follow-ups.
4. Supplier and Partner Coordination:
- Build strong partnerships with outbound travel agencies, airlines, and service providers.
- Negotiate competitive rates with local and international hotels, excursion providers, transport companies, and other partner.
5. Operations and Logistics
- Resolve last-minute issues or changes during tours with professionalism and efficiency.
- Oversee the seamless execution of inbound and outbound tours, ensuring high-quality experiences.
6. Market Research and Trends:
- Stay updated on tourism trends, both locally and internationally.
- Identify new destinations and travel experiences to include in offerings.
7. Budgeting and Financial Management:
- Calculate costs and prepare competitive pricing for travel packages.
- Monitor budgets for inbound and outbound tours and ensure cost-effectiveness.
8. Documentation and Compliance:
- Manage all necessary travel documentation, including visas, permits, and contracts.
- Ensure adherence to local and international tourism regulations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in inbound and outbound tourism.
- Strong understanding of Tanzanian attractions, international travel destinations, and cultural nuances.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in travel software and MS Office.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
- Multilingual abilities (e.g., Swahili, English, and other languages).
- Experience in digital marketing or social media for tourism promotion.
- Certifications in tourism, hospitality, or travel management.
